Good, Nice looking bike however ... after 1 month, i've had 2 flat tires and i feel that my bike isnt as smooth as in the beginning. Mudflaps should be integrated from the beginning, the lock from the battery gets filled with dirt. 70 km with 1 battery charge is also an illusion. I use this bike to commute to work, it has to be reliable. Walking 7 km after the late shift is no fun.

The last 25 years I was a convinced car driver. The bike change my completly thinking about mobility and mobility concepts in cities. At first cowboy was just a try for myself and a new toy. Now it changed my live. Im not stressed about traffic and traffic jam. I haven't driven a car in munich since. And by the way - I feel much healthier. Cool bike, great story, fantastic support from cowboy if you have questions or something else. The only what I miss is the possibility to start the bike without the app, because if yor phone accu is empty, you cant start the bike. Maybe a kind of electronic key could be a good solution in future and next bike versions.

The cowboy certainly looks great and is by far the most innovative bike on the market. Also the people at the helpdesk are very nice. The problems are: product quality and procedures. My bike’s engine didn’t kick in from the start. A check at the factory could have easily avoided this. I then received a replacement bike. Why couldn’t I simply get a new bike? On the replacement bike, the rear light did not function. It was apparently the battery, and I received a new one quite fast. This too could have easily been checked before. Now I’m looking forward to ride a cowboy where everything's fixed.

For the most part, I love my Cowboy. It's fast, comfortable, sturdy & stylish. A true pleasure to ride. But, the punctures... My Oh My, the punctures. I've had more flat tyres in first 2 months than i ever had over the 2.5 years riding my old road bike. I ride in anxiety, wondering when the next puncture will arrive.

Cycling is fantastic. First thing I did is installing mudguards (full, not the Cowboy design). In the Netherlands this is a must. Battery life is very decent and as advertised. What's really strange though is that I had quite a few power offs while riding. I. haven't figured out what causes this behaviour, but it's annoying. Build quality seems to be very good, and the bike looks great of course. A way to power on/off from the bike itself would be a big improvement, especially for those who don't mount their phone while riding (I use a Garmin Edge I use on my racing bike as well).

Great bike, especially now that I discovered the off road mode where it doesn't restrict your speed. The only downside is that they chose looks over convenience. Very annoying that you have to install your own mud guard. The light is also great to be seen, but you can't see the ground when it is dark. They give an additional light but that's another accessory to charge. I wish they would create a commuter version where they preinstall a good mudguard and a better light.

The Cowboy bike is exactly the e-bike i was searching for. The bike looks sporty, and runs like this. Good quality and a nice clean design. The engine and the engine control are realy good. The bike drives just super natural. One gear and the automatic engine control are just the perfect solution for me! I realy love the concept behind this bike.

I use my bike to commute to work, two times a week, 20 km one way. I very much like the design of the bike and the automatic gear. The fact that you really have to pedal to feel the comfort of a electric bike made me decide to buy this bike. After three weeks and a couple of flat tires, which took me a long time I bought me some more reliable tires (schwalbe marathon plus). I know the tires who come with the cowboy give a nice feeling while riding but to me their are not reliable. I also bought some accessories recommended by cowboy for more comfort but I find out that a lot of them really don't fit. The rear mudguard of the Sks bluemels 45 28' glossy doesn't fit because the metal part that attaches the mudguard to the bike is to short. The front mudguard of the Sks edge all 46 is to wide to fit the fork, I had to saw it of to partially use it. Th rear luggage rack Btwin 100 ain't wide enough to be attached to the bike. So I believe it's a very nice bike to ride but you must be aware ( an handy) of the necessary adjustments that comes with it when you wan't more comfort.

The Cowboy is a beautiful bike. The pedal assistance is superb, if it works. My cowboy had some software related problems. I have not been able to ride it for nearly a month now. It's being fixed at Cowboy's. Another issue I had was that the steering wheel was too low for me. I can't blame Cowboy for that because I knew you couldn't raise it before I bought it. Nevertheless it was a problem that had to be solved. I raised with BBB stem riser which works great. I gave the bike three stars because of the issues I had with it. All in all it's a fantastic vehicle and I still love it despite the annoyances. Please Cowboy fix it fast so I can enjoy it again. I really like riding it!

It is a very responsive bike, it gives you that extra power right away. The only thing suggestion I have is for the app. I would like to track my actual mileage vs battery capacity with my riding style instead of the ‘promo’ mileage.

The bike is almost perfect! I understand the concept of a lean high quality design. However, I think more customers can be reached in case you also advice them in buying the right additional accessories (e.g. kickstand, mudguards, luggage rack and height adjustable stem). Nevertheless, I enjoy using the Cowboy every day to my work! (I even got rid of one of our cars ;-))

The bike is fun, a very nice design. He is pleasant to pilot. The handlebar is slightly too short. The pedals slide but can be replaced easily. The brakes are good for unengaged driving. All in all it is a very good bike. To be upgraded according to your desire to ride.

450 km later I haven't used my car for a month. My daily commute (30km) has become a pleasure with this bike. Like every bike getting a flat is a matter of time and when the day came; it took me about 30 min to change the tire. It does take some skill and I'm thinking of getting 'better' puncture proof ones in the future. Fenders are a must, fortunately I installed some immediately. Overall riding the cowboy is a wonderful experience and the company offers excellent customer support. All I wish for is the possibility of ordering spare parts and accessories through the cowboy website and app.

It's my first ebike and i love the design and concept. I commute 10 km single and now it's way easier to bike it. It gives me good exercise and lower cost and i just love to bike it; the sensor is giving me the right amount of support. I was skeptic about not having gears, but i really don't miss them and i agree it would have been redundant. I installed the SKS Edge mudgards which fit the design. All in all a friendly price for a great bike!

Great bike for young people willing to still use there own muscle power. The bike is lite and sporty. There are no gimmicks like mudguards, carriers or displays. The engine is not very strong – so if the bike is used in mountainous regions, you will need much more of your own power compared to "normal" eBikes. Pros: 1. the seamless support of the motor (best ever!) 2. The minimal weight 3. The Design an of course the price 4. the effective range of 70km is realistic when the area is flat Cons: The most disturbing thing are IMHO the tires. They are loud, hard and I had a punctation after just one week by a really small piece of glass. I changed for the "Schwalbe Marathon Supreme" tires. They look very much the same and are realy quit, softer and have a good protection. They are a few grams heavier than the "Panaracer" but I prefer to come home rather than save a few ounces. At the first look, the bike seems to be of very high quality - no welding seams, no rattling...The second look shows some minor imperfections. 1. The Brake-Levers are very simple and (compared to my normal Bike) a little shaky. 2. there are no cable grommet seals for the brake tubes in the frame so water may penetrate the inner frame when it's raining. 3. there is a little (easy removable) paper sticker with the frame-no at the bottom bracket bearing but no punched hallmark but that's what my insurance wants What did I miss? 1. A bike that is controlled and featured with the phone should have an USB-Connector to reload the device. 2. the possibility to order the Bike with other tires and with additional equipment (carrier, mudguards, Lights,...) 3. The app should show the distance since the last recharge 4. Insurance for Germany I would buy the bike again but would not recommend it for older or somehow handicapped people.

Great design and all is well matched. I like that the motor is completely silent and doesn’t feel like a motor, just like magic power support. A suggestion for improvement would be to work on the front light. Could be more focused for better illumination of the track. But all in all I am totally happy and riding the bike is really fun.

So much fun to ride the cowboy bike. In Göttingen we have a lot of hills. Now it s easy to enjoy all these nice places around ( all so in the Forest) and to have a Picknick sitting on the wall from „Plesse burg“ with a wonderful view down to the „ Leine-valley“. Wonderful

I see some room for improvement in the head light range and the currently still missing mud guards. But that is complaining on a very high level.

he bike is great in principle. But the tires have to be replaced by better ones! Here cowboy acted late with the rim tape! That was bad for the image! The forums are full of it! There would have to be a way to charge the phone on the bike, because the cell phone battery is quickly empty. or the app consumes a lot of battery. Or it would have to give a speedometer that connects to the bike via Bluetooth, and a kind of Bluetooth key, so that the phone is only needed for company updates. I wish a suspension for front and saddle. A bike stand should be standard! Two holes in the frame for bottle tumbler holders should also be standard. These holes could be covered with black screws. So everyone can think about what he wants to build on his bike.

Short review: very good looking bike confortable position for me 1,87 m Rides without any noise Connection via smartfone did not work properly in the beginning (after 40 km the battery support did not work anymore. Got it fixed in 1 week by repair station in Berlin organised by Cowboy. Chat support with cowboy is very good I changed tires to unflattable and I did not trust the original ones for rainy asphalt because they don't have tread. Got mudguards installed I am happy with it so far!

I went with the Cowboy about 400 km. My problems so far. The App has passed twice, the Cowboy just turned off. The tires (Panaracer), are bad, had already 2 plates. I changed you out. Conclusion: The Cowboy is a briiliant bike with exceptional handling and looks just great. Only the above mentioned problems should be solved or a spare tire made available, as these Panaracer are not suitable in the big city turmoil. That some People rebuild the Cowboy with terrible accessoires (stem, suspension seatpost etc.) I find terrible. Then buy a trekking bike. Let the brilliant Design as it is!

Bike is excellent, what I like most is how easy is and fast is to start moving, makes you very agile in the city. The battery level could be more accurate, sometimes battery drops faster than expected, or real battery level was not displayed with accuracy when started biking.

The bike is so beautifully designed to make it as simple as possible. It’s great that it does not have buttons or settings and uses standard components for the brakes etc. The power kicks in seamlessly. The only issue is the maps on the app doesn’t work that well and the tires are not made to withstand tougher terrain.

The bike is phenomenal and it was an instant crush for me. As soon as you press on the pedals, the bike seems to glide over the road. I love the fact that there are no gears, it really feels like an automatic bike, giving you an edge in the urban environment. In a month, I have not had a single problem with the app or the pairing with the bike. I am also very happy with the support chat and the delivery (within 3 days!). I'm a little disappointed the bike didn't already come with mud guards (for Brussels it is a little problematic) and ended up buying some 1 day before the announcement of the custom ones. The accessories are also a little cheap (in particular the USB rechargeable front light which has less than an hour of charge available...).

Ever since I test rode this bike I immediately fell in love with the electric assistance! It’s a joy to ride this bike and lift off when the traffic light turns green :D Although riding the bike is great, I find it disheartened Cowboy didn’t include the necessary accessories for the commuter. No bike stand, no mudgaurds ( they'll start shipping soon), no luggage rack. Apart from that, I recommend this bike if you're willing to invest in the necessities.

I really like the cowboy, it is an absolut pleasure to ride it. The motor kicks in and supports perfectly whilst the bike can be handeld almost like normal singlespeed bike because it is so lighweight and well balanced. The only thing I‘m currently looking for is an alternative tire eventhough the slicks look great on the bike they are sometimes not easy to handle on a weet road and I had two punctures in one week. Hence I still love the bike and was the absolut right choice.

The design of the bike is simply ingenious. Many people don't even realize that it's an e-bike. The same goes for the weight. Extremely light for an e-bike. What I don't find so successful are the coats of the tires. They have almost no tread. What I was thrilled about was the support. Super fast and helpful answers.

So, I love my Cowboy, but the bike sold is in NO WAY fit for purpose. To make it into a usable city bike, I’ve swapped out the handlebars/added a front-loader, added mudguards (obviously...), and swapped out the tires for Schwalbe anti-puncture ones (I got a flat within 15 days of riding on the tissue paper thin tires that come as standard). The lack of a stand (or the real option of adding one) is a disgrace, especially given we’re talking about a pretty eBile, which I don’t want to get scratched up. But... it’s a dream to ride and looks gorgeous. So if you’re a medium height woman who doesn’t mind spending a load of extra money at the bike shop... buy a Cowboy.

Some smaller negative points: - you can't go faster than 25... even when you're legs can, the bike holds you back - i'm quite big, and the size of the frame is a little small, so have to extend saddle bar to a maximum - the standard tire on the bike... i'm not yet convinced this is the right on for the bike. The cowboy is everything I wanted in a way, giving me support when and where I need it (as seen on the website). There’s only a few flaws I experienced regarding the bike. When in cold weather (heavy rain) the battery lifespan is depleting really fast. As I use it for commuting there’s not always a way to park it rain free. This depleted my battery 2 dots in only a 2 hours time, which is a shame. The other minor issue is the noise when braking... but the rest works as a charm and I’m a happy cowboy 🖖🏽

Very soon after arrival I had to change the tyres and get mudgards...... this I would have wished to be already on! The support is always there to help!!! I would suggest the bike for a sportive person not for a person who is looking at a bike with a comfortable ride 😉

cowboy bike is exactly what I hoped for. It is feeling natural to ride. Just riding, no gear shifting, no hassle. It was never so much fun to ride a bike, never so easy to start in the morning. On each traffic light I’m way ahead of everybody else. I recommend to use tires with more profile and puncture protection. Apart from that the only thing missing is mudguards. Hope they are a released soon to make the bike complete.

I ordered the bike mid August - after a (very) convincing test ride - and received it already two weeks later (which might be exceptional reading other customers' reviews), I like how the bike is super responsive and I find it very stable and comfortable to ride (I'm quite tall), the design and aesthetics makes other (e-)cyclists turn heads. I'm aware other customers sometimes have connectivity/battery issues but 1 month later everything works fine ... next week I'm moving to another place, my daily commute will increase from 13 to 25 kms and I'm really looking forward to that :-D Now I'm impatiently waiting for the mudguards to be available (like every one else in the community :-D)

Bike is a beauty but just like everybody else in the other reviews, I fail to understand why you guys haven’t released the mudguards yet. It is simply ridiculous ! makes a horrendous experience - I arrive wet at work every single day - and it truly makes so sense you wouldn’t even recommend something compatible while we wait for Cowboy-branded ones. Day of my test ride, the bike (2018 model) had mudguards, if it hadn’t, I certainly wouldn’t have bought mine.

Enjoying the bike, but many little annoying things of imperfection. Cracking noise from the cranks, instantly flat tyres, rubbing noise from the rear wheel, high friction when peddling without motor... Then new tyres don't sit well on the rim for some reason and now I have a wobble bike. Too much work and fixing for buying something "new", seems pre-mature mechanically :( Otherwise pretty happy with the system and how it all works, the app and stuff. Well done!

I am extremely delighted with the bike... I use it to commute a distance of about 15 km (one way). It feels a bit like having super strength, especially when riding uphill. The contact to the cowboy team and the support are great! The only downer so far was a spontaneous drop in the battery level (25%) - this only happened during the first charging cycle and was answered immediately by the support team. I'm very happy with the bike, I can only warmly recommend it! The option on mudguards and a stand would be a good addition. Keep it up!

Because this is the less comfortable bike i've ever tried. I can't enjoy any rides as soon as the roads are not perfect. And we know that in Belgium it is not the case. The seat is solid and small, the bike is extremely rigid and nothing is done for the comfort.

I would give the bike 4 stars and a half actually...it rides very smoothly and always knows when to give the extra boost. The commuting is so easy now. No more struggling when cycling on a windy day or a steep bridge. The app works perfectly and even though I was looking for functionality over looks, I am surprised by how many people say that it is a beautiful bike. The only downside...the mudguards. I know I am stating the obvious but it is a mess every time it rains. I tried with a short ass-saver but it was not enough. What I kind of worry about is the sand that gets inside the battery compartment. Every time I come home I need to carefully clean it with a brush. So I cannot wait for the day when you guys unleash the mudguards! For the rest I am over the moon with the bike and how accessible the whole team has always been for questions, test ride etc...

Great Riding in electric and non electric Mode. So you can use the Cowboy similar to a regular fixi bike for a workout session. Tires are still working after 140km on different roads. For the coming winter well mudguards a definitely a must have.

The bike is unbelievably fun to drive. I use it mainly for my 10km ride to work, but more and more often I catch myself thinking on what other occasions I can use the Cowboy instead of the car. Main reasons why I decided for buying a cowboy were the price, the fact that you almost don't feel like riding an E-Bike (very well calibration between pedalling power and engine support), belt drive, the off-road mode, the free SIM card for GPS tracking and the control via app on your phone. Points to improve are missing USB port for charging my phone, missing additional fingerprint sensor for enabling w/o the phone, non available original mudguards, tires are too fragile, missing app features like distance since last charging, no charging level indicator on battery, remaining distance estimation, handlebar fixation makes noise and is becoming loose from time to time, the pedals make funny crack noises if I put weight on (not best quality?), non brand-free option, one frame size only, and "only" 110kg as maximum load. Apart from these points of improvement, I love riding the bike and don't know any better alternative.

Riding the bike feels great. The parts are high quality and everything just feels smooth. The acceleration is intuitive and makes it easy to bike as fast or slow as you want/need. The fact you can still go 25km/h quite easily even when the battery is dead should be highlighted more, since that's really a big plus compared to other e-bikes.

The cowboy bike is a smart bike. It ain't like another electrical bike coz you still need to do the effort to cycle. It's light and therefor agile. It rides like you're hanging in someone's wheel, or feels like someone's pushing you just enough to launch you. Helping you across hills or when you need to push against a strong wind. Cowboy helps you through those difficult moments,but doesn't take away the fun of cycling.

Riding the cowboy is always great. Dynamics, sports, design. Great fun. I did not like that I experienced a flat tire twice in the beginning and found out that a nail was stuck inside the tire injuring the tube also after it was renewed. The strange thing: the nail came in without an outside tire injury during riding. Somehow it must have come in during construction. Bad luck for me, don’t know how this can happen.

It’s extreme fun to ride the Cowboy. The motor controller is tuned perfectly, the „fade out“ when the max speed is reached is great and practically unnoticeable - no „hitting a rubber wall“ when accelerating. The built in front & back lights are great and useful, however it would be nice if they would be legal for use in Germany (I don’t know what’s the legal requirements in the rest of the EU), i.e. no need for the additional lights which come included with the bike. I have problems with one of the pedals (the bearings started to make noise after 1 day or so). I still need to contact Cowboy for this, so I still hope this will be an easy fix (replacing the dud pedal). One downer so far is the fact, that the next partner repair shop, the app shows, is more than 200km away. Especially in southern Germany the partner repair shops are still very(!) rare. I hope this situation will improve. The iPhone App is ok, but an Apple Watch companion app (at least for switching the Cowboy on/off) would be really, really useful!

My Cowboy is light and easy to grab and go for a ride. I use it to commute 15 Km to my work, but have also caught myself on going for a ride just for the fun of it. To make it really fit for daily use I had to purchase a lock and mudboards, and am still looking for a stand that fits. The boards and lock the friendly worker at Cowboy recommended, are nevertheless beautiful and could have been designed by the guys and girls from Cowboy themselves. So 4/5 means: good job, great bike, lots of fun riding it!

The bike’s design is top. Riding it is fun. I cannot go slower than top speed. I love cruising around. But there is room for improvement: my second firmware update went wrong and I needed support resetting the bike. In the second week, I had a flat tyre. The battery of my bike loses 13% over night sometimes, or the indication must be wrong in the evening. I think, the indication needs tuning. Personally, I would like to have the possibility to buy more fitting accessories from cowboy, or the possibility to choose a better/other tyre right from the start, like the configurators from car companies. I visited some of the service partners for buying accessories in Munich, but they had no idea about the bike and no parts available. In total, I love the bike. We have grown together, and I am looking forward to owning the accessories announced in the faqs. Your service team is very fast and friendly and wish you all the best to continue improving.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the bike yet. There are two reasons for this: First I had to wait 34 days for the bike. Then, after less than three weeks, the bike started making strange noises. Now I can't ride it anymore, because something is wrong with the engine and the rear wheel. The service then informed me that I should wait a few weeks for a spare rear wheel. Since I wanted to drive to work with it every day, I am now reminded every day that I paid 2,000 € for a non-functioning bicycle. I am very disappointed. The only positive thing I have to say is that the design is really cool and that the bike would be really great if it worked.

My last bike got stolen, so I needed a new bike and had seen the Cowboy advertisement as well as an article on this new stylish ebike before that. It looks really stunning and drives well when the battery works. That however is the problem so far. About two weeks ago did the bike shut down on my way home from work - maybe it’s worth to say, that my city is really hilly and some of the uphill passages are impossible to cycle without the battery support. I thought this might have been a reminder on not having charged my bike after two weeks as said in the manual. Worked fine after charging that night until the day before yesterday. This time I was still within the 14 days in between charging and the battery simply died on me. I left home with three lights and 54%. When I arrived at work was I down to two lights, but didn’t check the percentage. After work was there only one light left and the App said I had only 2km left. Needless to say, that I didn’t make it home and had to push my Cowboy in between. Bad timing to ask for my comment, because so far my Cowboy didn’t prove reliable at all.

The electric assistance is wonderful and works exactly as wished, and for this price, I’m convinced it’s most probably the best e-bike on the market. My only improvement points would be the fact that the bike is shipped without mudguards and a kickstand and the need to use the app to turn on the electric assistance.

Hallo Mélanie, I have Noe Riffen 350km Oma Cowboy bike. I notice that the battery is enough for more than 100km. Unfortunaly, I had to fix the front wheel 2 times because the hose had a hole, an flat tire might be an alternative. The cable guide also loosens on the lower frame and touches the tire. I fix this with a tape. Now I have to bring the belt back to tension based on your description on the website. But driving is a lot of fun. Greetings Rolf-Dieter

I used to commute by car/train, but now I’m happily cycling 34 km back and forth (charging at work just to be sure). After about 1.000 km I can say: I love it. It’s fast, agile, good looking. They are very grippy and role like a champ but taking the average Belgium bicycle lane (most of them are in very bad shape) will give you a flat. Cowboy Support is very good and friendly! They help you with all your questions.

I forgot: a hint for those who have difficulties with finding and fixing mud guards: Ibought regular „Bluemels“.The back Wheel was no Problem even though I also mounted a small „BackRack“ Carrier. For the lack of fixing threads for the front wheel guards I used the internal thread of the axis on the left and a 3mm dowel(!) for the small hole in the axis screw on the right side - it really works since 700km now...

In de eerste maand met deze e-bike, heb ik het stuur voor een betere zithouding 10 cm dichter naar me toe gezet. Dit onder andere met een stuurpenverlenger. Comfortabele handvatten maakten het af. Spatborden en een achterzitje voor de fietstassen volgden. Een ringslot voor de veiligheid vast aan de buitenkant van de vork, anders krijg je de accu er niet meer uit. En een zijstandaard voor het gemak. Met weinig wind of hellingen gaat het fietsen ook goed zonder de stroomondersteuning. Een smartphone moeten gebruiken voor een paar km fietsen met gunstige weersomstandigheden doe je niet, dat is te omslachtig. Voor het overige gaat het elektrisch rijden naar wens. Dus een schakelaar op het stuur zou voor mij wel een uitkomst zijn, maar buiten dat ben ik tevreden met deze 2019 Cowboy.

Overall: I like it so far and dont regret my choice. Had my highs and lows though.. Highs: There's no faster way to get around my city (beats bus/tram). Good feel while riding, responsive and agile. Good looks, got asked about it by random strangers more than once. Cons: Not assembled to own specs; flawed assembly: left break slightly loose. Flat tire on day 2, tube too small, tore. Asssaver fits as a mudflap but on wet streets the front and back wheels will spray water so strongly that only tight fit mudflaps will save your shoes, pants, back.

Perfect commute bike : it's agile, fast and lightweight. The battery life is close to the 70 announced (lot of hills and I'm quite heavy so I lose a few km of autonomy). The bike receives new features or improvements quite often, which is nice. On top of that the look is great and many people ask about it. It's not a perfect electric bike but for the city, what a treat!

The tyres are not adapted to the bike and flat really quickly, belt that makes a lot of noice, have to customize it by changing brakes if you're taller than 1m75, no stand, mudguards and support for cellphones (the app is central by riding a cowboy).

Superb look, fantastic electric assistance adapted to pedal force. Even when the battery is empty, the low weight of the bike makes cycling easy. So no panic in comparison to the traditional heavy e-bike. I ran flat and had to change the inner tube of the rear wheel, and thanks to the tutorial it was a piece of a cake 👍.

They looked like grandma’s bike. Until Cowboy came along. A small company from Brussel with a great looking e-bike. I ordered two: one for me, one for my son. A month has passed and the bike is great. It’s fun every trip. Very easy and no nonsense with this bike. Just start and ride. A few small points: after a flat I changed the tires and a noisy belt was fixed with a clean and a bit of soap. Easy do it yourself. Overall a very good bike, beautiful design and fun to use. And at a very competitive price. Never regretted it, not even for a second.

Riding this bike is fun. It just feels good and you are used to it after a few minutes. It is so good, that I am willing to ignore the poor name choice. Come on, guys. Cowboy? Really? 😘 Just one downside: Standard accessoires like mudguards don't fit well and you currently can't get those from Cowboy afaik. With a bit of skill and tools, you can make it work. Just don't expect to use them "out of the box".

This bike does not only look really slick it also is the best driving experience I have ever had. The electrical support is perfect and knows exactly when to push the bike on. So far I haven’t had any problems and the way to work and back on the bike is a lot of fun. Cowboys customer support is very fast and very helpful. The cowboy app is OK, I hope more features around trip history and stats will be added. The only negative point that I would mention so far was the long waiting time until the bike was delivered. Thankfully this is now over.

Unfortunately cannot recommend it. Several issues I am facing: front and rear breakes are squeaking, the belt makes odd notices, no good kickstand available for this 2019 model. To make sure you won't return the bike with it's flows, return policy says "can only return unused bike". Very displeased, my 15 year old mountainbike makes less weirded noises, has a kickstand and fenders.

Downside is steering (no way to cycle freehand), tricky accessories (mount a luggage rack but still get your battery out / find and fit mud guards), you need to get used to cycling position (can't change height of handlebar) and my rear axis did squeal right away. I am going to cut a YouTube review as soon as possible. In a nutshell: For that price to get a stylish bike which is fun to ride and I love commuting with it. My cowboy bike I have received after longing 7 weeks. The first day the bike nail was beautiful, never was it easier to ride a bicycle than with the . well after the first few days the first mistakes started ... And then the rain came and I had to drive through the forest because the Cowboy app guided me through this larger forest piece. After driving through the forest, sounds gradually accumulated .. from grinding from the bottom bracket and the freewheel. With a long back and forth writing with cowboy I was helped in the beginning. However, I was only put off by a colleague who tells me that play the brake lever is normal, however, on the other hand, the game is much less ... Now, as after the said drive through the forest, I reported back to Cowboy and there were then sent me tutorials, with which I should please repair the bike. Very good the noise with the freewheel is gone and he "slips" no longer. Nevertheless, after cleaning the timing belt still grinding noise from the bottom bracket and a wheel which has an imbalance. To ride the bike I have to say, the concept is amazing. It is a lot of fun to cycle through the city by bike, the app control works great and is easy to use.

-Cowboy does not provide the promissed mudguards. Why? - The electrical wiring makes mounting a standard kickstand impossible. In Amsterdam you have to have a kickstand else you Will damage your bike. This is a design thing.

However, it is highly incompatible with standard accesories (even some of those recommended by Cowboy) and the battery has been behaving funny during the first charge, spontaneously dropping about 25% after use. Overall very happy with it, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a commuter bike; but if you are planning to bring your children around on it, look around for other better suited bikes.

The bike rides great and the intuitive assistance is perfect, though no suspension means you think about the roads you take just so you don't arrive shaken to the core (hard to avoid in Brussels). The special tires I don't understand, they have no grip whatsoever when going fast on tarmac, perhaps that's why they're called Gravelkings, but I've yet to see a city where roads are more gravel than tarmac. It misses a lot of basic necessities like a kickstand etc, but honestly the ride is very intuitive and lets you do your thing so overall I'm happy, especially for this price!

The bike has really changed my way of commuting to the office. Don’t use my car anymore whenever weather is ok and - after 20+ years - my commute to the office has turned into fun. Really surprising. But you have to start offering mudguards which don’t ruin the design of the bike and ideally also a stand. As a Dutchman I was in Antwerp in December 2018, I saw the cowboy in a shop window. As a (sports) bicycle enthusiast looking in, I recognized the beautiful design of a true 'naked bike'. My eyes fell on the two burning lamps. Huh, this is an E-Bike ... where is the battery? Walked inside. I discovered the battery and noticed that the bike up close is even more beautiful than I thought. Bit I did not take a test drive. I didn't want an E-bike at all. I'm still too young! Back in the Netherlands I regretted not having cycled. I was looking for a reason to buy this E-bike…. It became a ‘must have’ I went to work by car for 23 years, but of course I can also use the bicycle! Found a reason! 😊 Thanks to the belt I don't get dirty pants when I get on my bike with my suit. Would I really enjoy riding this bike? I contacted Cowboy via the chat. It seemed that I was able to take a test ride in Amsterdam. So I did: 5 minutes on this bike and I was already sold: how wonderful it rides. No gears, but you will be helped immediately when you want to shift. The sensors notice that and you get a boost. It runs very smoothly, the seat is good. Nice stiff frame, great looking tires and strong brakes. The bike is made so beautiful (look at the absence of welds). Modern operation thanks to the app. Pre-ordered! Waiting three months was a very long time. But I received the bike a few weeks ago. Since then I cycled almost daily to work. So cool! Really delicious! And I will certainly continue to do it! Great bike, great company vision and above all a beautiful and good bike. Did I mention beautiful? The most beautiful bike for me! I’m a Cowboy! Yihaa!

At the moment I'm mainly using it for longer trips (Mechelen - Brussel) the electric support during the trip is fantastic it really makes you enjoy your full bike trip. In the future I'll also use the bike more often for some shorter trips also during the colder seasons of the year. I'm already looking forward to this bike trips

My Cowboy is a sleek, sexy machine. I chose it over other ebikes because it had that ‘woo hoo’ factor when riding vs. the others, that no matter the price or the features, felt like driving trucks in comarison to a nimble sports car. This is a young startup company and this is product #1. Although there are some specific things they may offer in the future which will be improvements on choice, options and may affect handling, I felt it was important to get support this start up and their vision. I love my eBike.

The battery lasted max 30KM from the start. I have now used the bike for one month and max loading capacity has dropped to 89% of full charge. max distance is now just above 25km on full charge.

Personnally I adore the bike. I was and still am totally charmed by its design, the looks, the brand and also the team around it. Living a bit more than 20 km south from the Brussels border (Brabant) and working at several spots in town, my total biking distance for a normal workday is about 70km (2x35km, charging @work :-). I know that I am an atypical Cowboy-Rider, given that I cover higher average distances than most users, when I ride it. Weak points therefore mainly consist in the absence of any suspension. The strongest point, aside from its sheer beauty is the lightweight. Although I still love the bike after a few months, I may hence conceed that the main target for the Cowboy maybe the city or more proximal suroundings. However if asked whether I would buy it again, the answer is a clear 'yes' :-)

I am using the bike 3 times a week for a mixed urban/country circuit of 28km each way. It is actually saving me time compared to the car + bus that I otherwise have to take. Bike gives steady power when needed and is particularly pleasant on uphill.

The feeling of riding this bike is just great - I'm using it for my commute (2x20km), and the battery _just_ makes it (25km/h mode).I've upgraded the saddle (gel) and added an adjustable handlebar stem and a lightweight carrier. I've only noticed one real annoyance so far: the front light is to ambient, and doesn't throw a far enough beam to light the road (esp. off-road) at night. I'will add a small led light on my handlebar to compensate...

The Cowboy is a well conceived, well made and well working electric bike, that keeps it's website promises and delivers daily riding pleasure.I've had much more expensive electric bikes, but this one is close to the zero-default in terms of conception and riding. The main advantages I would point out are its weight and agility, the fantastic assistance of the motor, making every ride effortlessly enjoyable, the app interface user-friendliness and the frame geometry. Ah, and, yes, the total absence of commands on the handlebars!!So far, I've ""loaded"" my Cowboy with: raised handlebars, a ring (it's legally mandatory, guys...), suspended seat, fenders (curana for an awsome look), back rack with ortlieb brown bags, a tail light and a stand. It's now ready for my daily commutes in the city, all-year-long!Thanks and kudos to the Cowboy Team!

I love driving this bike. I got the cowboy in the beginning of July and drove about 800 km since. For commuting inside the city it is perfect for me, I live in a pretty hilly city and I do not care about the hills anymore. Yet the bike is not made for everybody, if you are looking for a bike to do longer weekend trips in your free time or have a pretty long commute, you might want to look for a bike with a bigger battery (500 Wh). But personally I can't imagine a better bike for commuting, especially for that price.I tried to summarise some pros and cons:Pros:- Great, effortless riding- No shifting necessary, one gear is absolutely sufficient inside the city (I actually love the fact that I do not need to hassle with multiple gears)- Removable battery (this was mandatory for me)- Stunning design- Integrated lights- Belt driven, so less maintenance necessary (and due to the hub motor on the rear wheel the belt should last a while)- Disk brakes (even though I do not really like mineral oil disk brakes, but for this bike the brakes are totally acceptable)Cons:- Real-world range is somewhere between 35 and 40 km (definitely not 50), depending on your weight, speed and the landscape profile (for me this is totally fine, I do a maximum of 30 km a day)- This is not a bike for long distances like weekend trips, due to the geometry of the bike and the hard saddle long distances may become uncomfortable- For higher speeds a second (automatic) gear would be great- Steep hills are a test of your patience as the electric motor clearly works at its limit (the trick is to pedal with the exact amount of force to let the motor work at its maximum without having to do real pedal work on your own - this makes you climb the hill slow but nearly effortless)I would recommend the bike if you live inside the city and have a commute of up to 15 km one way (mine is 7 which I do in 20 minutes).I would not recommend the bike if you are taller than 1,90 due to the geometry of the bike or if you want or have to travel long distances.

I was looking into buying a speedelec, but that's an expensive joke and I don't really need the 45km/h or insane battery life since my commute is only 10km. But all regular e-bikes are ugly and dull, so I was stuck in a dilemma. But then I stumbled upon this Cowboy thingy, which did not look ugly and dull. So I ordered it the next day.I did some shorter and longer rides with it and I can only conclude this is a great product. I'm a heart patient, so I have to keep my HR down or I'm a dead man. The Cowboy makes me forget all about that since 1) the assistance is there, but it's not overwhelming 2) there's no social stigma since you can't really tell it's an e-bike and it just looks cool.I rode a couple of frontwheel driven e-bikes and a Shimano Steps mid-engine system before and the Cowboy is nothing like that. Other e-bikes give you more of a scooter-ish feel. The Cowboy does not have a controller, it doesn't even have gears. You want to ride faster? Just pedal harder/faster. It will match your pace seamlessly. Remember when all touch screen phones were crap and then the iPhone came out? This is kind of the same thing.The design is also quite something. It really is the Tesla of e-bikes in the sense that everyone is intrigued by it and asks you all about it. But where Tesla kind of cheaps out on some of their parts, the Cowboy does not: the tyres are Schwalbe, the grips are Brooks, the pedals are nice and large, the saddle is decent (but not great). The handle bar is a tad smaller than what you might be used to. I like it, it doesn't take too much space in the hallway, and it adds some fixie nostalgia. More attention to detail: the small rubber strip on the crossbar of the rear fork keeps you from scratching up the battery when removing it. When you accidentally turn your front wheel all the way around, the handle bar does not touch the top bar, they left 2-3mm clearance. The Cowboy clearly wasn't built overnight.Also, the bike is completely black (except for the disk brakes). The screws on the stems? Black. The nipples of the wheels? Black. The cups of the bottom bracket? Black. The rails of the saddle? Black. The rear wheel motor? Black. This is not the kind of bike you spend another $500 on upgrading parts here and there. You can add mudguards or a rack if you really want to, but that's about it.The offroad mode limits assistance to 30km/h instead of 25km/h. IIlegal in Belgium, but so is tax fraud,highway speeding and spraying your lawn. It's great. You're a tad faster than every e-bike granny or grandpa, but it's not dangerously fast. The disk brakes will stop you just in time for every obstacle, every time. In offroad mode the battery will last 40km. Ok, that's not that much. But at 16kg and 1800 euros, it's more than reasonable. Ok, ok, fanboy alert. Surely, there must be some drawbacks? This is going to sound cliché but there is only one: it's just too nice. At work, I hide mine in the boiler room instead of putting it in the bike rack. I still take my gf's bike to the local supermarket. I don't want it to get stolen, I don't want anyone to even damn touch it. An integrated (physical) lock would have been nice since any aftermarket lock will ruin the bike's aesthetic. Also, the app has some lag to it, and I hope they further develop the analytics/ride history part.But other than that, this thing is a Tinder Super Like for sure.

The cowboy bike is a real gem. No only it is well designed, it is also so easy to use...no gears, you only have to start riding and it does everything for you. The electric push is thriving, especially when you are going uphill. Since I bought it, it has become my main mean of transport and I adore it. I only wish that Brussels roads could be better adapted to biking mobility. Only hic is the accessories. It would be great that you could equip it with mudguards or with bags to carry stuff. That would help a lot those that use if for purposes other than a fun ride.

This basic bike made me more mobile in a clean and healthy way. Riding my black beauty to work at a decent speed over the 'fietsostrade' gets me there fast and with an easy as I am just a bit quicker than the other e-bikes. I had to add a bell and a phone holder and am still waiting for some decent mudflaps but for the amount I paid I got a lot of bike and advantages. Already 2 other friends bought one and I am waiting for the comfort model to buy 1 or 2 additional cowgirls(?)... I used to hate riding a bike, now I am sometimes smiling when I know I can take it for a spin soon!

This is a great urban bike for the short and mid range distances. The Cowboy is and feels very light allowing you to steer easily through the busy city traffic or to commute. For the relative low price setting this bike offers quite a lot: hydrolic brakes, enough power giving you a boost when needed, a carbon belt gearless drive system and a fantastic accompanying app with the same minimalistic Nordic design as the bike itself. This bike has no suspension so try to avoid bad roads and potholes. The young team behind this project has done a fantastic job, I recommend this nice looking bike!

For short trips cowboy is even a good alternative to an electric scooter (which I was considering). When I ride the cowboy I feel more like riding a scooter than a bycicle. It is a big pleasure to ride uphill without almost any effort. In my previous e-bike I had to choose the amount of power to be delivered x1/x2/x3/x4 and I always had to calculate a fair solution between performance and remaining battery charge. Now this issue is "not applicable" = no stress. The battery is light and fast to charge.
